•NAME: Masika Jones
AGE: 20
HOMETOWN: Chicago, Illinois
PROFESSION: Prima Ballerina
ABOUT: Masika is a bubbly, vibrant girl who has dreamed of being a dancer since she was toddler. Masika was abandoned by her mother when she was only two, and was adopted a few months later by a wealthy family from the upper-class suburbs of Chicago. Masika's adoptive parents, originally from Europe, were very cultured and exposed Masika to the classical arts at a young age. She began ballet at age five and never looked back. Masika was considered a child prodigy, often being allowed to move up ranks early due to her skill. Masika began her professional training with the Chicago Ballet Co. at age sixteen and managed to make a pretty big name for her-self. At age sixteen she was offered a spot in the LA Ballet Co. which she eagerly took for a chance to get out Chicago. Masika, who loves being around the arts, met Astrid when attending one of her gallery showings, and was introduced to the rest of the crew. Masika has recently been given the title of Prima Ballerina of the LA Ballerinca CO., and even though she is very excited, uknown the the rest of the group the pressuer of the new position has been getting to her confidence and self-esteem.

o Please tell us a little about your-self and personality…
Okay, so most people describe me as outgoing, humorous, and exciting. But not in the annoying hyper kind of way. I’m a principal dancer with the Los Angles Ballet, and I of course live in LA. Recently I was promoted to the coveted “slang” term Prima Ballerina. Most real dancers don’t call it that, but in short I’m my company’s MVD. (Most valuable dancer)

o Where are you from? What was it like growing up, your home life? Growing up I lived right out side of Chicago with my parents. My parents were wealthy and I was often called the “Rich Girl” at my large suburban public school. When I turned eleven, I transferred to a small elite private school with other girls my age, and I also received a scholarship to the Chicago Ballet School. My days were extremely busy, I went to school until 2 o’clock then I was promptly shuttled off to Chicago Ballet to train until 8 o’clock that night. My parents loved that I danced ballet, and because I was an only child, they were about the biggest stage parents you could ever know.

o What are some of your hobbies and talents? Well a have a puppy named CoCo, and I love to take long walks with him, I enjoy yoga on the beach, getting my nails and hair done (who doesn’t?), obviously dancing is a talent, and I also would like to think my acute sense of style is a gift.

o Name some things you love, and things you hate, and please explain? I love fashion; it just makes you feel better. I like to go out with friends, but I hate clubs, extreme parting, etc.; I mean…EW…it’s so dirty and sweaty. I hate when people tell me I can’t do something, which leads me to another love of mine: persevering through challenges…I’m extremely driven. I hate food, or anything that has to do with eating really.

o Can you tell me your favorite quote/saying, and explain what it means to you?” God creates, I do not create. I assemble and I steal everywhere to do it - from what I see, from what the dancers can do, from what others do.
George Balanchine” It just kindof reminds me that I was made to dance. I mean, if god hadn’t put me on this earth to dance ballet, why else would I have put myself through this much; and why would I have made a professional company at age 16?

o Finally, what has it been like making it to the big times, seeing your name in lights, and partying in LA with the rest of the ‘Make-Out Kids’? Its been incredible. I cant believe it, I’m truly living the dream. I have everything I’ve ever wanted. But the truth is that sometimes its hard. LA isn’t fuzzy and friendly, you either have to be the best or simply go home…its that easy.

• For the last three questions answer out-of-charcter:

o Why do want to be apart of [mok]? Because I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this character! I’m a dancer, and this would just be so fun to do. This character has a lot of promise for this roleplay. A ballerina is such a complex character that you can do so much with, like: Anorexia, affairs with partners, or choreographers to get a certain part.
o Will you be active? YES! (I only am doing two role-plays.)

Sage Gray, 19
From - Arizona, Nevada
Major(s) - You choose
Year - Sophomore
Background - Sage is that overachieving girl with a delight for anything fashionable. She's got this wild, glamourous sense of style, and an attitude that matches it. Sage doesn't seem like the girl who would settle down and study, and believe me, she doesn't do it. She rather party all night, and dance with guys she'll dismiss the next morning. Sage wants to be a fashion designer when she's older, and something else along those lines. Not only that, but she also takes Drama on the side, as that is one of her loves.

Tell us about yourself and your personality.
Hi, I’m Sage Gray, I’m 19 and sophomore at Harvard. My entire life everyone has called me that “Party Girl” I mean, I get it …I am a party girl. I love to go out and drink, and fashion is a major part of my life. In high school my life was basically take easy courses, go out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night, write an article for the school fashion editorial and try not to max out my credit card.

-> What is your life like at home? What's your family like?
Well, My mother was loved art and sculpture, so she and my father were constantly making appearances at galleries, had lots or artist friends, held galas for artists in the Arizona area, and were just about the closest thing to Nevada socialites. My mother, along with having a love for art, bought couture like it was her duty in the world, she had 4 daughters (including myself), whom she passed that onto. Ariah and Verity (twins) both attended Harvard before me, and my younger sister Lily is a junior in high school. The five of us usually treat our large modern homes like personal closests, neclaces strewn across the bed posts, rings in the warming drawer, and the basement? Racks upon racks of my mother’s vintage one-of-a-kinds. My father, though he’s the only man, is chill and easy going; he works at as a boring old CEO and spends his afternoons playing golf or at yoga.
-> What are some of your loves, hates, hobbies, and hidden talents?
My likes are simple really: Acting, and fashion. I get most of my inspiration for hobbies and things of that sort from old time movies (think Marilyn Monroe). I also enjoy anything a good Arizona girl would: Sunning, Hiking, Yoga, Painting and Sculpting, and even singing. Growing up my mother, Alice, and my father, Craig, instilled a well-rounded mentality in me. The only problem? School. Which now leads me to my hates: Most of my hates have to do with school, being serious, and being bland and/or boring. Other hates of mine include: Annoyingness, Fakeness, people who say stuff like “Shes such a bitcch!” I mean what do you expect, were in college!
-> What makes you a brainiac? What is your favorite subject?
What makes me a brainiac…hmm good question really. The point is that the only thing that makes me a brainiac is well, my brain. My work ethic = Failure.
-> What extra curriculars or sports are you planning on doing?
Well, definitely theatre, I’d also like to do women’s lacrosse and swimming.
-> What does Veritas (Truth) mean to you? (It's the school motto)
Veritas, to me, means that you have to be true and organic. In the most competitive and elite environments (i.e. Harvard) you need to be true in order to get by. In a place like Harvard there is no cutting corners, no “short cuts”, you cant “ease your way out of things”, you have to go in full-force and truthfully.

{Answer these out of character}

-> Do you think you can stay active?
Yes! I mean…I’m new so this will most likely be my one and only roleplay. Okay…so I lied maybe one more.
-> Why should we choose you to play your desired part?
Because mainly…I’ve never played a part like this. I picked her because I admired her truth and natural-ness. I really think I could have a great time with this part.
